This Rare Rococo Neo-Classical Style Vase was made by the Furstenberg Porcelain Manufactory of Germany. In my research for this vase I found a brief history. Furstenberg Porcelain was established 1746 by the Duke of Brunswick in the Castle of Fursten. This factory was organized in 1753 by Baron von Langen & Peter Frederik Suhm who worked for the company until 1798. In 1779 the name changed to the Royal Danish Porcelain Manufactory, until the present. I am not sure when this vase was made because silver inlaid porcelain is elusive. It has the blue Furstenberg hallmark, also it is signed on the rim by the maker. Unfortunately the signature is small & double stamped with along with the code numbers or date, which makes it illegible for me. The base also has a glaze covered four digit /number stamped into the porcelain. This vase is of excellent quality with exception of two very tiny 2cm dents in the silver at the very base. I believe that these are silver hallmarks. It measures 4.3/4" tall & 4" wide. I am starting the auction price with no reserve. All e-mails are welcome. Thank you very much for your interest & Happy New Year.
