You are bidding on a piece of history. I have up for auction a C G Conn Queror cornet from 1905. I took this item to a local music shop and had the age authenticated. I then took it to three local jewelers to have the metal tested for gold as some of the cornets from 1904-1906 were plated with gold. One jeweler tested it and said yes but the other two said no as to being gold plated.I always go the extra mile for my buyers so that no questions of the item can be left as to the quality of the item. It was made by the C G CONN Company of Elkhart, IN. The bell and shaft are engraved in beautiful fashion with the Conn logo and the crest that shows the model ,address and where it was produced. There is an L just beneath the serial number. Higher on the second valve there is a crest stamped with "our label" above the crest and beneath the crest it says "factor 34". The valves and the slides are free except 2 valves that need heat to free them. The bell has a couple of dents as does the body of the instrument. The gold plating read more
