This Masterpiece is hand-carved and freehand painted for elite collectors of authentic treasures. Compared to the mass-produced articles seen everyw, each piece of the Masterpiece Collection is first hand-carved by the master carver and then free-hand painted by the artist (or artists - as many as five for some designs) with meticulous attention to detail. For pastel pieces, due to the absorbency qualities of wood, the artist is faced with the difficult task of applying layer upon layer of the watercolor paint until the desired depth is achieved. Every layer is applied by hand without guidelines, and each artist relies only upon his or her own skill and talent in pursuing perfection.
