German WWII G43/K43 ZF 4 Sniper Scope maker marked "ddx" which means it was manufactured by Voigtlaender u. Sohn AG, in Brauschweig. Very nice scope shows little wear and the markings are nice and legible. In addition to the maker mark it has Gw ZF 4 over the serial number 31048 over the maker mark. In addition it has the triangle which means it is made for use in extreme cold (like the Eastern front). Good clear optics. The mount is marked 359 and the lever is marked "fest" on the front and "lose" on the back. The authenticity of the mount has been called into question. I am not an expert on these items and only can say that the scope and mount came together from an estate sale more than 20 years ago. It looks great mounted on a G43.
