You are bidding on a giant, Gallery freeform of Petrified Peanut Wood from Australia. This extraordinary piece of Peanut wood is considered gallery due to the Teredo mollusk borings on the face. They are plentiful and well defined. These borings are well represented deep into the entire piece. The piece is well represented as being taken out of the white matrix. So, you can see the strip of Petrified Peanut Wood down the middle with the matrix on each side. Brilliantly face polished! This is a magnificent specimen, of great size and, superior quality! Thank you! Peanut Wood-Petrified ARACAURIA conifer wood, with marine Teredo mollusk borings infilled with white, radiolarian silt. From the cretaceous "windalla radiolarite", age approximately 113 million years. Found in the Kennedy Ranges of western Australia. Don't forget, I combine shipping!
