Gallery Artwork from Walt Disney World of the FAB FIVE This is a unique form of art work that Disney introduced somewhere are 2004-2006.The main characters of the artwork are inked and painted on paper and then the characters are cut out and the parts are assemble to create a 3-D effect. The characters are then placed on the back ground to create a depth to the visual field of the artwork. An example Mickey's shoes are printed on to the cobble stone path, and his pants, vest and left arm are attached to a spacer by the big button on his vest. Mickey's right arm and coat, bow tie and head are attached to a hard extension to complete his look into the 3-D look of the picture. The castle in the background also has two hidden Mickey's in one of the window panels. A hint, one of the hidden Mickey's is right side up and the other is upside down. The artist has added characters in, on and around the castle from Disney Animated features. The movies are The Hunchback, Alice and Wonderland, The Jungle Book, The Lion King and Peter Pan. The frame is 2 inches deep to also help create the 3-D effect. The artist that did the series is Dave Avanzino. Dave's signature can be found on the right of the cobble stone path.The art was done for sale at the Art Galleries in the parks at Walt Disney World. This piece in the edition was purchased at the Gallery at the Magic Kingdom. It was the floor display and the last one left in the Gallery. The list retail price was originally $850.00. Due to the fact that this was the last piece and the COA had been misplaced the price was marked down to $595.00. The Gallery added a Disney price sticker and hand wrote Cert of Auth to prove that this came from a Disney Art Gallery. The artwork also has a remarqued WDW logo is in the matting. Due to the fact that this piece has a substitute Certificate of Authenticity the piece is listed at $150.00. After purchase the artwork has never been displayed and has been kept in a smoke free environment in storage. The frame does not have any marks or dings. The back of the frame also has instructions on the care of the plexiglass and lighting so the art in the frame stays fresh and new looking. Paypal is the accepted form of payment. UPS will be used to ship the artwork to the winner of the auction. Standard ground shipping in1-5 business days. The cost of shipping will be $22.00 which includes the shipping, packaging and insurance. With the insurance if any damage occurs in transit you will be able to recover your money back from UPS. All sales are final for this auction. We will only sell to individuals from the USA. The winner of this auction will receive a FREE GIFT.
