Pictured is the actual auction item: An estate item, this is a fairly good size antique/vintage fixed blade knife. Made by Gambill of Soligen Germany, I was appraised that this knife was brought back as a souvenir by a US Military couple that was stationed in West Germany, when that country quite a good many years ago. I cannot say definitively how old this rare knife is, and I can't find much info regarding Gambill on the net. The knife measures 10.5" long. The blade is 6" in lenght, and 1 1/4" in width. I'm not sure what metal the blade is made out of but it is quite thick, and it does have some stains, not rust however, at least I don't think so. Equipped with a beautifull stag handle, which has a wicked curve, like more suited for a right handed person. No sheath. An excellent Collector knife !!
