(note: the white area that borders the portrait in the 1st & 2nd photos appear "pinkish" to lower lighting and is actually like what is shown in the 3rd and 4th photos). Italy Italian hand painted portrait of a beautiful young mother and child with the continence of Jesus and Mother Mary. It is hand designed and painted on a free form dish with variation in height. This appears to be in the style of Gambone, Fantoni trays. The back is marked in gold, "Made in Italy, N26Y, and signed CCH and hand signed by the designer, Gloria, in red. This lovely portrait of a young girl features the elongated neck similar to the style of Modigliani or El Greco of Toledo. This beautiful heirloom piece measures 11 inches by 6 3/4 inches. Glazes include varying abstract color design over white. The glazes are all gloss and this is such a stunning art pottery tray. There is also heavy gold trim outlining the portrait and the edge of the tray. It is in very good condition with no imperfections that I can see or feel. Photos do not do justice to this gorgeous tray. This would be enjoyed by any Italy, Italian, European, collector, decorator, or art collector. Thanks for looking and Best Wishes.
