Gamewell #4 Sector box smaller than a standard fire alarm box. This box is cast iron and is in as removed very very good condition. The only things negative are some surface corrosion on the interior and some of the stenciling is worn off. Notice there are no pipe bosses top or bottom to connect the conduit. This is unusual and I believe unique. This box had the wires come in from the back. Pay close attention to the number plate as it has really nice older numbers. I believe this to be a very early box as #4s go. Under the stenciled bowl cover there is a brush brake code wheel that matches the number plate. This box is near perfect original condition and dates back to approximately 1879 to 1890 give or take a few years. You will be hard pressed to find a nicer original box. This was an estate of an old man who lived in the Chicago area so most likely this box saw service locally in the Chicago area. The lock on this box is non trapping and I do not have the key. There are no extra holes drilled in the door. This box may of came from the Elgin State Mental Hospital along with the other one I have listed. I found it in the Aurora area.
Shipping will be actual. DO NOT USE THE shipping calculator. UPS professionally packaged is the only way I ship. I will not pad the shipping costs.
