A Day With Our Gang By Eleanor Lewis Packer Pictures by STAX Whitman Publishing Company Racine, Wisconsin 1929 SIZE: This book measures 6 and 3/4 inches by 9 inches. It is unpaginated but contains 22 pages of story and a dozen full-color photographs of the Our Gang stars on and off the set. CONDITION: Good to very good. The paper over cardboard cover is worn on the corners and the paper is chipped on the spine. There is soiling and a couple of small spill marks on the front cover. The rear cover is soiled and scratched . A child long ago pasted three 2-cent postage stamps on the picture on the back. The interior is in very good shape. It has some tanning and light fingermarks on the edges of some pages. Otherwise, it is clean and bright . The full-page photos (a dozen) are printed with a dotted line on the edge so children could cut them out for their rooms or scrapbooks. Fortunately, the owner(s) of this book left it intact. CONTENT: This is a Hal Roach studios promotional book. "Romping through the Hal Roach comedies" is the subtitle. It shows the original Our Gang actors, before Spanky, Alfalfa, Buckwheat and Darla. Featured portraits include six Rascals: Joe Cobb, Farina (Allen Clay Hoskins), Hard-boiled Harry Spear, Wheezer, Jean Darling and Mary Ann Jackson. Petie the dog is in there, too.
