Contemporary Blue Being offered is a civil war era ribbon, made of silk and metal, has the letters GAR, grand army of the republic, believe these were civil war veterans, states Honor the Noble Dead, In Memoriam, West Salem Illinois Post No 222, did not know t was a West Salem, the ribbon has some small fraying at the bottom, the silver finish looks to be wearing a little on the eagles wing edges, has some creases, assume from storage, those could be ironed out providing you can iron this silk, overall would say nice shape for soemthing around 100 years old, approx. 8" by 2 1/2", SH is free for this ribbon, USA purchases only.
