GARDNER - Russian imperial handpainted porcelain figurine DANCING COSSACK
For serious collectors ONLY! Hi, thanks for checking out my auction. You are bidding on rare and old Russian porcelain figurine of DANCING COSSACK I think circa from 70-s of XIX century. Beautiful bisque handpainted porcelain figurine of a very attractive drunken dancing Russian Cossack dressed in ancient style clothing. Made in famous Gardner porcelain factory. Francis Gardner (w. 1746-1786), an English entrepreneur, established a porcelain factory in the village of Verbilki in the Moscow province at 1766. Under his direction, and later his son's and grandchildren's, the factory earned a reputation for producing high quality, finely made goods in the latest fashions. Now it is Dmitrovsky's porcelain factory. Near excellent condition, no damage, no restoration. T are near 11 inches tall.
