Hello and welcome to my auction! I am so excited about how this gathering of primitive vintage quilt daisies turned out! This Spring and Summer decoration would look wonderful on the center of your prim table or sitting on top of an old cupboard or dry sink. It would look great sitting in the bedroom on an old dresser......which is w I almost decided to keep it!!! I found the container at an antique/flea market a couple of weeks ago and knew right away that I wanted to make it a container for prim flowers of some type. The container or "vase" is made out of wire and has a diamond pattern to the mesh. I have no idea how old it is, but is has a wonderful rusty patina. T are no tears or holes in the wire mesh at all. It measures about 8" tall and about 9-1/2" wide, including the handles on either side. I have never seen anything like it....so please note that this is a one of a kind item! I packed the container full of moss and then secured my hand made prim daisies inside. The petal part of each daisy is made out of white or cream pieces of a vintage quilt and the centers are circles of yellow or gold pieces of quilt. I have hand stitched the centers to the petals and stitched the daisies to real twigs. The twigs have a grungy green tie around each of them, below the daisy, for "leaves".
