This is an undecorated body shell and sideframe details to create a 1:450 scale EMD E8A. Decorated, assembled models shown are for illustration purposes only! The shell is designed to be used with a lightly modified T-Gauge Eishindo "KIHA 40" mechanism (NOT INCLUDED). You may also kitbash a frame and mechanism, chop, mod, etc. as you see fit! Incuded in this kit are: 1ea E8A shell, 4ea truck sideframe details. The Eishindo mechanism requires some minor modification to fit--basically cut off the protruding ledge at each end of the mechanism frame. Also the front bogie can be repositioned if needed with some minor kitbashing on the frame. I use dummy axles for the 3rd axle. The mechanism may be ordered at TrainAidsA: /shop-tgauge.shtml They also sell un-powered chassis as well to make dummy units. I will also include FREE with each order a test shell (a freight car or loco that didn't pass our QC) that can be used to see what the material is like to work with and paint--before working on your E-unit!
