Hey everyone, I am back listing train items from my own personal collection. I am an LCCA & TCA Member and have been collecting Lionel and other train items for over 50 years. I have a collection of over 15,000 Lionel, MTH, American Flyer, Bing, Hornby, Ives, and numerous other train items. I collect Standard Gauge, O Scale, S Scale, OO Scale, and some N Scale items. I promise you every item I sell will be described to the very best of my ability and will describe any damages they may or may not have. Generally the majority of my collection are mint in box or show some play wear. But every locomotive I list does run and are in excellent condition. All freight cars are in working condition and aside from play-wear are all ready to run on your layout or to fill a hole in your collection. I have a lot of unique and hard to find items as well and will be listing them in future auctions. So keep watch for something you may be looking for and have not found. I promise you I have what you are looking for and will be weeding out my collection within the next several months of selling. All items are being sold AS-IS and with NO WARRANTY and are no return unless damaged in shipment. Here is a A.C. Gilbert American Flyer - S Gauge - #21085 Chicago & Northwestern 4-6-2 Steam Locomotive & Tender Set. This locomotive and tender are gorgeous and show very very little wheel wear or use at all. I was given this piece as a High School Graduation Gift from a friend of mine in 1965 when we graduated High School, he claimed he got for Christmas in 1960 and only set it up and ran it 4 or 5 times before it was given to me. He was going to throw this set away and I asked to have it & he gave it to me when we graduated high school and saved it from him destroying it way back in 1965. I personally have never used this set and never removed it from its set box. It has been stored for close to 45 years now and I only removed it from my collection and layout building to sell it here today. These pieces are Original from the late 1950's or early 1960's, and I still have the Set Box they came in. I Do Not however have the individual boxes for each freight car and locomotive. This is the Chicago & Northwestern 4-6-2 Steam Locomotive & Tender Set. The locomotive looks and runs like brand new and still smokes and the headlight still works. The tender is also nearly pristine with no chips, dings or breaks anywhere. All of the wiring between the loco & tender are also perfect with no breaks or anything. It even still has its bell on the front of the locomotive, too. I promise you will not find a nicer locomotive set out there, not like this one. Feel free to check out the pictures and decide for yourselves. For being a second owner of this set, you can see that I never used it at all. This is a fairly rare locomotive & tender set and extremely hard to find in its original condition. I guarantee you Will Not find a nicer locomotive & tender set in its original condition as this one is. The majority you see listed are reproduction versions and are Not the same as they were when they were made in the late 50's and 60's and still made in the USA. This is a very rare piece and extremely hard to find in its original condition. If you collectors out there are looking for rare and unusual American Flyer items, I have them and the majority are in near pristine condition. As I stated before, I do not have the original box for this piece but it will be very very well packaged & insured for shipment.
