Vintage Clockwork Bassett Lowke O Gauge ‘Compound’ 4-4-0 Loco. This is British Railways black liveried withred lining, running number 40119. The locomotive is in very good used condition. Its paint and transfers are completely original as far as I can see and overall the paintwork and red lining is in very good condition. There are one or two very small touch up's of black paint: a couple on the smokebox side and some small scratches touched in on the tender sides. The cabside numbers are showing a small amount of wear also - please see all pics. The loco is complete with its original key. The original box is in used condition, it has some silver paint marks on the top label and one end is splitting. There are some rubs to the corners please see pics. It has correct end label which is complete and not ripped. Runs very well in forward and reverse, has a good strong spring. Foward and reverse / stop is controlled from the levers in the cab. Its been well looked after and mechanically it looks in great condition, the gears / spring etc underneath are bright and clean. The wheels are all in good order. Tender is also in good condition and has its original makers transfer on the end. Overall a nice example that i don't think has seen much use. I have never run it and it displays very well.
