I have yet to apply the final varnis that results in a uniform sheen...will re-photograph when...thank you Process for creating an original painting: The idea or subject> Choosing, buying, or making the surface> The drawing> The painting: The process I use is I paint the base painting in black and white, Then layer upon layer of thin color transparencies...So each painting is actually 4-5 paintings stacked layered on the base painting.> Final varnishing of the painting> Photographing and editing the image of the work> Hours and hours Listing and nurturing the listings on Ebay.> Finally: Packaging and mailing the work. I have been lucky as I have sold many (around 350) works and am honored to have my works in private collections around the world and have found numerous collectors of my work. In purchasing a piece, the buyer keeps the artist producing new works with that support. Sometimes selling even one painting can make a huge difference. I don't require much and live simply. I add up the # of works being "watched" and fantasize how nice it would be to actually sell these. I offer my pieces at incredibly reasonable prices considering the time of the involved process.
