I don't smoke a pipe any more, but I liked the looks of this Pipe collection I bought at an Estate auction. They have been gently used & will need proper cleaning but they are very pretty pipes. Watch my site as I list at least 20 nice looking pipes. This pipe is a London made GBD COLLECTOR TAPESTRY 263 Pipe, made in London, England, LOOKS ALMOST LIKE THE "CHURCHWARDEN" STYLE It has a DESIGNS on the body, It is approx. 7 3/4" long. The bowl is about 1 3/4 " tall, and the hole is about 3/4" wide - hard to tell with the cake. It weighs about 2 oz .I can see no cracks, pops, fills, or serious damage. The GBD company was founded in Paris France in the 19th century by Ganeval, Boundier andDonninger who were no longer associated with the company by the turn of the century.By the time they left the GBD name was well established and thus retained. In 1903 an additional factory was built in England and ran by Oppenheimer. The Paris factory moved to Saint-Claude in 1952.Since 1981 the majority of GBD pipes come from the English factory. At about that same time GBD merged with Comoys, since then all productionfor both GBD and Comoy comes from a single factory. Please view ALL my pictures carefully to better determine the exact condition to your own satisfaction. I sell these pipes as pictured, as described, and 'as is'. Thanks you & good read more
