This auction is for a vintage GE Monitor Top refrigerator. The exterior is in good, clean condition with no major scratches or chips. The cabinet measures 23 1/2w x 49 1/2h x 22d not counting the door handle, which adds about 2 inches to the depth. The refrigerating unit is a type CA-1-B16 and adds about 16 inches to the height, for a total of about 65 1/4 inches high - call it 66 inches. The interior measures about 18w x 15d x 32h, giving it an interior volume of roughly 5 cu ft. I can't tell if the door gasket is original, but what's on t seals well. You get all shown in the interior - the glass defrost tray, 2 shelves, and 2 porcelain-enameled, covered storage bins. As you can see in the image, the interior light works. Now the bad news - it runs but doesn't cool. It cooled when we bought it at the antiques mall but didn't cool once we had it home. I don't know of anything I did wrong - I transported it upright and didn't tip or drop it. Maybe the float is stuck? So, I am offering it as-is with a starting bid of only $1 and no reserve. Maybe you have a cooling unit that will fit it but you need a nice cabinet. If no one takes this I will have to dispose of it, which would be a shame. Because of its weight and size, I cannot ship it. The winning bidder is responsible for picking up the unit (both pieces) within 30 days of end of auction. Or, I will deliver it within 50 miles of my home on a date we both agree upon, again within 30 days, for a flat fee of $25. Please email questions if you are unsure what you are bidding on. Unless we arrange otherwise in advance, I need your payment within 10 days of end of auction, or I may relist the unit and notify eBay and/or offer it to runner-up bidders. Thanks for looking.
