An UNUSED matched pair of GE JAN 6550a valves. These are NOS and in their original boxes which states they were packed/made December 1985. These valves have the black bakelite/mycanol bases.They have been tested to make sure they have no faults and that is it, they have not been used. These are unused tubes from 1985. I just cannot believe I am listing these for the 3rd time. If they don't sell this time around I will keep them and make a fat raise in a couple of years. These valves were purchsed from for $329.95 plus shipping and import duty, so grab yourself a bargain. These valves are in excellent condition aesthetically and I dare say they sound as sweet as they are purported to be. 6550 valves are said to have warm mids, nice rounded bass and a good clear top end, a sweeter alternative to the KT88.
