1969 GE WILDCAT PORTABLE RECORD PLAYER CHANGER PHONOGRAPH 's a great looking and great sounding GE Wildcat stereo record player with automatic changer. It has a one-of-a-kind color combination... I replaced the black rear cabinet with a sage green cabinet from a different model Wildcat. Also, I've freshly painted the record player base in a flat-white. I believe it blends pretty well against the black color in the front cabinet. T are a few scuffs and a small chip on the bottom of the cabinet which doesn't affect the functionality at all. For a 39 year old this blast-from-the-past phonograph of yesteryear still looks great. Take a look at the pictures and be the judge. Services completed on this record player : The cabinet has been completely cleaned and detailed, inside and out, All mechanical parts and drive motor have been blown clear of dust and have been properly cleaned, greased, lubricated and adjusted for smooth, good-as-new operation The volume , balance & tone controls have been properly cleaned and lubricated, ensuring completely static-free movement The motor mounts have been replaced NEW Reproduction cartridge and 33/45rpm needle installed. Since this is a new production cartridge, replacement needles will always be readily available. You can even purchase needles that are exclusive for playing the old shellac 78rpm records with this cartridge! Information on w to obtain these needles will be included. These needles are much gentler on records as the weight required for them to track record grooves is literally half compared to the originals made for this record player This record player has some great features : Suitcase-style design: The player folds up; the power cord wraps in the back and a carry handle is built in for ease of portability from room to room Self-contained solid-state stereo amplifier and speakers-just plug it in and stack some records!
