Chiapan Amber is the highest quality for use in lapidary/jewelry/cabbing and has a high rate of fossil/insect inclusions dating back 25 Million years. I purchased this material for $1 per gram (the going rate) but I'm selling it for less than half of that price. This full Kilo (1000 grams) is ready to be turned into cabachons for necklaces, rings, and earrings, over 1000 pieces of fine quality jewelry could be produced from this lifetime supply of Amber, each finished piece can fetch from $10 to $100+. I am a lapidist and you may know my work from . I make top quality Gemstone Guitar Picks for professional and amateur guitarists all over the world. Most of my picks are made from Agate, but I also make picks from Amber. Amber is the same density as Tortoise Shell and Finger Nail so it has a warm rich tone when used as a guitar pick. I've attached 3 examples of my work using Chiapan Amber, the only Amber of sufficient quality for my specific needs. All of these examples sold for $100+ to some very happy customers. But because a guitar pick can be no smaller than about a square inch, I can't use the smaller pieces for my work.
