Gemstone Carved Guan Yin in beautiful purple and green fluorite This piece came to us mounted on the base of a lamp of about 1930. It was the custom to mount oriental figures on lamps in the early 1900s and sometimes the pieces already had age when put on the lamp. This beautiful little Buddhist figure has some minor imperfections on the edge of the green fluorite base which can be seen in the photos. There are a couple of small nicks missing on the edge of the base, somewhat due to the fissures and inclusions in the piece of fluorite which is common to fluorite. Note that there are some rust-colored inlcusions perhaps due to iron oxides. The branch that Guan Yin holds also lacks one leaf at the top. It is not at all noticeable. Please study the pictures to note the condition. Fluorite carved pieces are usually a condition similar to this piece. If you have any questions, let me know. WE GUARANTEE YOUR SATISFACTION ON THIS AND ALL OF OUR PIECES. WE HAVE BEEN DEALING IN FINE ANTIQUES FOR 36 YEARS.
