Carmarthen to London and back Time Bill September 1808 detailed coaching staging bill for the Carmarthen post coach listing the various staging posts of the Carmarthen coach on its journey to and from London. [Via Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire & Berks] Issued by Command of the Postmaster-General by T Hasker 2 pages printed with times between staging posts and some comments 'Lost time owing to the pole of coach breaking and coachman drunk not able to bring the coach on upset twice between Brecon & Abergavenny one passenger very much hurt...' The journey took just over two days and records the delivery of the famous coaching time pieces. London imprint. A most unusual official document from the ages of the Post Coach. Rare 70x23 cm slightly soiled edges with minor tears to margins
