The original Genalex KT66 was very popular in Heathkit W-M5 amps as well as certain Leak models. Billed as an "exact copy" of the original by Marconi-Osram-Valve Co, Ltd. - there are some noticeable construction differences that have been employed. According to New Sensor's Technical Representative, improvements in the tooling available to manufacture tubes has led to some of the differences. The reworked internal structure is aimed at providing better support for the materials, and also reduces the risk of microphonics. Price is for a matched quad.
