This is a Gene convention doll from 2000 that is limited to one of only 700 dolls. This one is in absolute pristine mint condition and she is from a smoke free home and has never been out of the box. The hand tag is signed by Mel Odom. If you have ever wanted to get a nice Toast at Twelve convention doll, I can assure you that this is the absolute best one you will ever find. Everything that came with this doll is still in the original plastic, the jewelry and stockings and looks like a little fur wrap or something like that. Again, it is still in the plastic. This doll comes with the original box and original shipper box. This is from the Don Hayward collection. Don was an avid doll collector and he was an expert and dolls were the one thing in this world that he was most proud of. He collected vintage Barbie before he started collecting Gene dolls and several other dolls in between. Don died on Dec 1st of 2000. We had planned on attending the 2000 convention in St. Louis, but, Don was in the hospital and we were not able to attend. Someome was kind enough to mail this doll to us and I took it to Don while he was in the hospital. His eyes really lit up and she said "Wow, she has a black dress". I was really surprised by that because his eye sight was not good at that point, but, he was a collector until the end. Someone somewhere
