This auction is for a General Electric 5 Tube Alarm Clock Radio.
The radio works well but the alarm clock needs repair (or I am doing something wrong to get it working, which is a distinct possibility).
It is 30 Watts and is electric.
Has a bakelite plastic case with no chips, or cracks.
It measures 11 1/4" long by 6 1/2" wide and sits 6" high.
It was made in 1947.
NO RESERVE. Payment by PayPal, check, or money order.

All descriptions are to the best of our knowledge and research and are purely our opinion. All items are sold in an AS IN condition. Any stipulation as to age or authenticity is purely speculative and judgmental. We are not museum curators and are not expert enough to guarantee such. T have been reproductions so fine they have even fooled the "experts".
Many people get confused with the words Vintage and Antique. Vintage means "of the period" and not necessarily a particular number of years old. You can have a 2007 Vintage wine, for example. In General, the word Antique means 100 years old. on eBay some categories of items are considered in the listings to be antique if prior to 1940 in age. And that varies in categories. In the ART category, an antique is pre 1900 while in the collectible category under clocks an antique is pre 1930. This same category lists vintage as 1930-1969 while vintage guitars are pre 1980 and vintage toy soldiers are pre 1970. I can go on and on but my point is t is no set and fast rule on eBay concerning dating, for they themselves vary it. We honest dealers can only give our best estimate and judgment as to the items age, condition and value. I explain in detail what I see and I photograph every angle to show the buyer the item as best possible.
