This listing is for one framed signature/autograph of General George S. Patton. It is featured in a nicely framed composite by Signatures - Autographs of Distinction and measures 13" x 23", professionally framed by Wall Street Creations, of Rome, Georgia. The frame is a faux Burlwood with gold interior beading and gold scroll edging. The mat is a dark Prussian blue color and is sueded with a beveled accent border. There is a black and white picture of General George S. Patton at the top that measures 3 5/8 x 5 1/2". Below that in a cutout is the signature of George S. Patton - the signature piece measures 1 3/4" h x 3" wide. It reads "George S. Patton Col. U.S. Army" over a censored stamp that says "A. E. F. passed as Censored." Below that is a cutout 5 1/2" w x 3 3/4" h with gold accent trim and an engraved plaque that reads,"George Patton (1885 - 1945) The legendary Commander of the Third will always be remembered as the hard-driving, no nonsense leader who drove his army to victory in World War II. An ardent student of military tactics, Patton knew his enemy's mindset and was able to use that knowledge to thwart any defensive tactic. In 1944, his army roared through five European countries and into German territory within ten months, one of the greatest military achievements of all time." It is complete with a Certificate of Authenticity. This would be a great gift for the collector of WW II militaria or the aspiring military student or career man or woman. Patton signatures are hard to find as he died at the height of his career. Message me with questions...
Correction to the Description : The signature reads "G.S.Patton Col. U.S. Army" not George S. Patton as stated above - sorry for the mistake !
