L'HOMME DEBOUT A tall, deep, standing cabinet for a gentleman's clothing and haberdashery. Country French in character with a refined look, the l' homme debout has two doors divided by a drawer. L'Homme Debout Pronunciation: lôm / [deu boo] -noun French L’Homme Debout (literally translated “Standing Man”) is a tall, wardrobe cabinet that has doors on the top and bottom Huge cabinet is over 8' tall by almost 6' wide. (98" Tall X 70" W X 20" deep) It comes with a base that holds the three units. The three units fit snug together. Then there are three crowns for the top. On the right and left side there are two large doors and inside there are hooks for the men's clothing so you can hang long men's coats and trench coats. Very easy for you to add a bar so you can hang long dresses if you desire. Above each area for hanging coats there is a shelf designed for hats. In the center, there is a center door with a large shelf for a wig stand and wig. The open shelf at the TOP center is for a clock. The remainder of the center area is a stack of drawers for the gentleman's personal items. This is designed to come apart easily for transport on steamer ships or stage coach/train travel. The hardware is all original. The beveled glass is original but recently we broke the mirror on the right door and we custom ordered the double beveled mirror
