Genuine 1890's Ice Cream Soda Fountain Table and Chairs

For auction is our original Victorian era Soda Fountain Ice Cream set of table and four chairs. We have owned this set for over ten years, and have to sell as it does not work in our new home. This set was made in the the 1890's in Chicago as is indicated on the base of one of the chairs. The table top is solid oak and is 30" in diameter. The top is in excellent condition, and probably has been refinished at one time in the past. The base in the typical wrought/twisted metal used for thee tables in that time period. The metal on the tables and chairs is untouched, and still has some of the original copper plating. The chair seats are original, and seem to have the original finish. This is one antique set that is sturdy enough for everyday active use. We have used it for ten years, and it is a sturdy as the day it was built. The only thing I need to mention is that the chairs don't all have the same leg stretcher design. Two match, two are different. The chairs are identical except for this detail. We were told by the antique store that sold us the set that this is common with the ice cream sets in that when they were taken out of use and sold the dealers paid little attention to the style of the base of the chairs when creating sets. This item is for local pick up. If you wish to have it shipped, packing and shipping are the responsibility of the buyer and the freight company of their choice.
I do now have the contact info for a crate and ship company in the Seattle area that can ship this item.
