In a rare brand new condition, for sale is a size 5 (large) genuine 68 pattern Compton and Webb DPM combat smock and hood as issued during the Falklands War, and up until the replacement 1985 pattern. This is regarded by many as the last great British combat smock, from a time when quality was more important than budgetary restraints. The difference in quality is notable when compared against the smocks that superseded it. It is fully lined and very well made of quality cottons. Full metal zip, crotch flap, dual rear poachers pocket, flat main button pockets, left arm pen and compass pocket, button cuffs, hem and waist draw cords, crisp DPM colour. This smock was still folded from stores. A great find. The hood is likewise new and unissued and is a very close colour match. **I AM SELLING THE MATCHING TROUSERS SEPARATELY, SEE MY OTHER LISTINGS - AN EXACT COLOUR MATCH TO THIS SMOCK AND ALSO SIZE 5 - don't miss the rare chance to buy a complete matching unissued set. I do have the matching cold weather smock liner somewhere, so if you're interested in that too let me know. If you win both (or any of my others) I will combine postage.SMOCK MEASUREMENTS - length 32 inches, pit to pit 23 inches, shoulder to cuff 24 inches If you have any questions please do fire away I tend to pickthem up pretty quick, but please don’t ask me to end the read more
