You are invited to bid on this genuine, full-size carousel horse from Venture Rides (now High-Lite I believe). This colorful merry-go-round horse is an actual figure used on an amusement park carousel (see photo). It was fitted with a rocker base (also made by Venture) and was always a favorite with small children when visiting our house. It is in very good condition but has acquired a few small nicks over the 20-plus years we've had it. The piece can be disassembled (brass pole and base detach) and easily transported in a mini-van or large hatchback. The horse measures approximately 50-inches in length and the base, 60-inches. The body is resin or fibreglass but the base is steel and I estimate the weight of the entire piece at around 150-lbs. I don't know if these are still being made but the last price I saw was well over $1000. This example is being offered without reserve!

However we do select the right to qualify bidders based on feedback quantity, quality and country in which the account is registered. Because this is an auction forum (as opposed to website sales) we incur financial injury from winning bidders who do not follow through on their purchase agreement. We can take a check or money order as payment but since t is no way for us to verify their validity, we will require ten banking days to clear any draft or money order.
