Genuine Faberge Petite Clear Crystal Rose Trellis Egg, MINT CONDITION

This is a beautiful gift for sweetheart, mother, daughter, sister, or grandmother that will last a lifetime, and will be handed down through generations.

Eggs, as symbols of creation and new life, have been exchanged for centuries. The first Faberge egg was created in 1885 as an Easter gift for the Czarina Maria Fedorovna by her husband Czar Alexander III, and was proclaimed the most beautiful gift in the world.

This is a Petite Crystal Egg, 2 1/2 inches high, handcrafted in St. Petersburg, Russia. Each egg is mouth-blown, hand-cut and engraved, and then signed and numbered . The style was introduced in 1995.

These eggs usually go for $95.00 and up: this one, however, is double-boxed and includes a particularly lovely blue enamel box, making it a steal!

A little history of the Miniature Fabergé Eggs:
In Russian Orthodox tradition, people once exchanged small pendant eggs with each other on Easter morning. The wealthy at the turn of the 20th century found it fashionable to give miniature Fabergé eggs.

If you have any questions or concerns please call us at . We are an Authorized Faberge Dealer.

All of this is presented in the original Faberge Blue Enamel Box, itself inside a textured blue cloth-covered box, and includes the maker's tag. EVERYTHING IS IN MINT CONDITION.

Please feel free to contact our office if you might have any questions pertaining to this piece. Thank you very much for visiting one of our auctions.

The card documentation with this Faberge egg reads:

"The Faberge egg is the symbol of spiritual and physical rebirth and renewal. The crystal egg is signed and numbered. Faberge eggs are handcrafted in St. Petersburg, Russia. Introduced in 1995."
