The utensils are bright and shiny and the glass has that unused look. The outer case is worn from being handled. Would work well in a civil war reenactment. On Feb. 8, 2008 I received the first negative on my feedbacks. The buyer at the time had been on ebay 4 months and had 13 feedbacks. The buyer left this feedback (The statue was not as it was described. The carving is very mediocre). The buyer did not contact me to say the buyer was not satisfied, if the buyer had contacted me I would have refunded the money. I will admit that t is some subjectivity to descriptions but on the little statue of the two girls you could see their finger and toe nails and the features of the faces very plainly and the details in their clothes. Again I admit that this is subjective, but I looked at some other items that the buyer bought at about the same time and I could not see w the other carvings were any more detailed.
