You are biding on a geniune MBE medal awarded in 1957. As you can see it comes complete in its original case and also with a Times newspaper cutting from 1957 listing everyone in the honours list that year.It was awarded to Frederick Bennett for work in the Foreign Office of the government. It also comes with ten hand written letters of congratulations from friends and colleagues in various other government posts of the era (Office of the High Commissioner for the United Kingdom - Southern Rhodesia, Commonwealth Relations Office - Whitehall, Travellers Club - Pall Mall).An unusal and interesting piece of British history.
