LUCY RICARDO'S DISHES! is your change to own a piece of television history! This auction is for one medium-sized SALAD PLATE in the famous Ivy pattern! Poor Lucy...she's trying so hard to get in to that size-twelve dress for The "Cuban Pete" number, that she has resorted to eating celery for dinner off of these Ivy dishes! Ay yay yay! I have sold several of the small (bread/cake) plates, as well as some of the large, full-sized (dinner) plates! This is my first auction for the medium-sized (salad) plate from the collection! Every true Lucy-fan is well familiar with these dishes. They were used in dozens of episodes, with tons and tons of screen time! This plate comes with a tag and Certificate of Authenticity (COA) from the prestigious Ellis Prop House in Hollywood, California. The COA is hand-signed by the Archivist and Armorer from Ellis. You can be assured that this is the real deal! More about the dishes: Please view photos to see examples of these actual dishes being used in various "I Love Lucy" episodes, both in the New York apartment and in the country house. They show up again in the movie "Forever Darling!" In addition, Lucille Ball used this same pattern in her private home! Wow!
