GENUINE VENETIAN MURANO MILLEFIORI GLASS 'BLUE HEART' QUARTZ WATCH. RED STRAP GENUINE MULTI COLOURED MILLEFIORI MURANO GLASS LADIES QUARTZ WATCH WITH INNER ROTATING BLUE 'HEART' BEZEL. This is beautiful, genuine Murano glass dial ladies watch from Venice, Italy. It has a Miyota (by Citizen) quartz movement. The round watch casing measures 2.75cm in diamter (outer edges) and the watch face is white with silver hands and black numbers. The beautiful surround to the glass dial is completely handmade in Venice using traditional techniques, the inner bezel which has blue hearts round one half rotates and indicates seconds by moving round by 1 heart per second (this is a novel alternative to a second hand). The millefiori style is characterist of Murano glass and is created by the layering of molten coloured glass into shapes, cooled then layered again. When sliced this technique leaves the appearance of many little flowers, hence the name mille (thousands) fiori (flowers). Please see the pictures for the pattern detail in this watch . This particular watch has a deep rusty red croc grain grained leather strap which compliments the colourful millefiori patterned glass.
