While I've seen the Dickel whiskey jugs, this is the first time I've seenone of their old bottles. You are bidding on the bottle pictured to the right. Close-up pictures shown below. No reserve to worry about, so have fun bidding. Description: clear glass, height 11 3/4", cylinder style, cork top, BIM (Blown In Mold), smooth base, circa 1890s. No embossing, but has original front label that reads: GEO. A. DICKEL CASCADE DISTILLERY OLD FASH'N TENNESSEE WHISKEY AGED IN WOOD U.S. SERIAL No 1002 GUARANTEED BY GEO. A. DICKEL ... AND DOSE ACT JUNE ?? 1886 GEO. A. DICKEL & CO. NASHVILLE, TENN. and original label on reverse that reads: AGRICULTURE COMMERCE 1796 CASCADE WHISKY AGED IN WOOD GUARANTEED TO CONTAIN ABSOLUTELY NO NEUTRAL SPIRITS. U.S. SERIAL No 1002. This is strictly an Old Fashion Sour Mash Whisky, distilled from rich selected grain and purified by a process extract- ing much of the Fusel and Grain Oils. tby securing highest standard of quality and wholesomeness. GEO. A. DICKEL & CO. NASHVILLE TENN. Also has most of original foil lid that reads Geo A. Dickel & Co. / Nashville, Tenn. Condition: would be perfect except for a 2 1/2" crack across the base and a 1/2" check on left side (the check is possibly a manufacturing defect). Labels are partial as shown.
