GEODE MIX - 60 TOTAL FROM IN, TN, ID, IA

INCLUDING 15 KEOKUK AND 5 HOG CREEK SPECIMENS

is a great assortment of 60 geodes (50) and agate nodules (5) from 4 different locations in the U. S.. As you start at the left side of' the photo, t are 20 small to medium geodes from south central Tennessee. In the center front of the photo are 15 small Keokuk geodes from Iowa. Behind those are 5 agate nodules from Hog Creek in Weiser, Idaho, many of which have nice banded white agate centers. On the right side are 20 small central Indiana geodes. A golf ball is shown for size comparison.

The total weight of the 60 geodes is approximately 11 pounds, 1 ounce and breaks down as follows.

Tennessee - 4 pounds, 3.1 ounces - 1.75 to 2.45 inches in diameter

Indiana - 4 pounds, 2.4 ounces - 1.61 to 2.22 inches

Iowa - 1 pound, 3.9 ounces - 1.27 to 1.79 inches

Idaho - 1 pound, 7.6 ounces - 1.73 to 2.77 inches

As you can see, these are smaller geodes, but they are easier to cut with a smaller trim saw or hammer and chisel. A majority of these are probably solid but with the different colors that can be found inside, it is fun to cut them and see. The solid ones can be sanded and polished to make nice specimens. I can't predict exactly what types of minerals you will find in the centers, but t most assuredly will be an assortment of agate and quartz along with other mystery minerals, especially in the Keokuks. I will start the bidding at a low $9.99 and see w it goes from t Shipping will be in a Priority Mail flat rate box with delivery confirmation for $9.60. I will place each group of geodes in a bag with a label so you will know which state is which.
