Details: A large Georgian silver mounted cowrie shell snuff box. Large size with hinge to the base running along the length. Initials to the side as shown. probably Irish and quite early. Hallmarks / date / Maker: Unmarked. Certainly silver mounted and probably Irish or provincial from the design. This one is dating from c1750 Condition: The mounts are good with one tiny split in the mount which can be seen in the third picture down, to the left of the initials. This is minor. Hinge very good. Shell shows some crazing but and a few cracks from age but again, not serious. A good object. Monogram : As shown Dimensions: 9.0cm x 6.5cm x 5.5cm Weight: 145g
