Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Coffee Set with Teapot For sell is a Georg Jensen coffee set with teapot. We acquired this set at an estate sale in Memphis. The estate sale owner stated that the set originally came from the estate of Clarence Saunders. Clarence Saunders was the founder of Piggly Wiggly, America's first true self-service grocery store, in 1916, in Memphis! He passed away in 1953.The teapot is 4 5/16 inches tall at the top of the handle. The pot diameter is 5 7/8 inches. The weight (on a postal scale) is 1 lb. 12 oz. The mark is the one with the crown above the name. It is in excellent condition.The coffeepot is 6 15/16 inches tall at the top of the handle. The pot diameter is 4 5/8 inches. The coffeepot has a slight ding as shown in the photos near the handle, and is in excellent shape otherwise.The covered sugar bowl is 2 9/16 inches tall at the top of the lid.
