Le Bonheur du Jour-ou Les Graces a la Mode" limited edition deluxe assembled and published by Jules Meynial, 1924. A George Barbier tour de-force, which caused great excitement at the time of its release and is sought as a choice rarity by collectors today. . Images were created by George Barbier and hand graved by H. Reidel between 1920-1924. portfolio was released to select clients in 1924. These are original paintings created using a technique called pochoir, executed by expert teams of artisans in opaque gouache with the use of meticulously cut stencils and accented with line drawings created by Barbier and engraved into a metal plate by Reidel that was embossed into the printing paper, that date to 1924. These works of fine art are 88-90 years old. Paper is in excellent condition with strong embossed printing plate mark around each image. The two sided introduction frontispiece has small amounts of three of its corners missing and some light staining-otherwise the remainder of the portfolio is in excellent museum quality condition with light yellowing to the heavy weight cream laid print paper.
