George Grosz, Uber Alles die Liebe. Berlin, Bruno Cassirer, 1930, First Edition First Issue. Original covers. 120 pages . Illustrated throughout by George Grosz, with 60 new designs. Covers are bit rubbed/bumped/grubby, spine has faded, rear hinge splitting. Inside hinges are sound, pages toned, very little foxing. come with an exhibition notice for Grosz at Piccadilly London 20 March-8 June 1997. George Grosz born Georg Groß (Berlin 1893 - Berlin 1959), was a painter , draftsman and German writer , who lived in the United States from 1932 to 1959, a naturalized American . He was a key member of the Dada movement in 1920 and even organized the First International Dada Fair in Berlin. He participated as an illustrator for several magazines " Dada " ( Aktion Neue Jugend , Der Ernst Blutige .) And produced several paintings on the theme. In his paintings , from 1920 , and the dispersion of the Dada group , he had evolved into a more realistic art to be closer to 1925 , the group of painters of the " Neue Sachlichkeit " (New Objectivity ) (Grund , V , 236).
