Item: George II 1743 Antique Sterling Silver Old English Pattern Hanover Spoon. Wonderful Antique tablespoon made during the reign of King George II 1743 . The spoon is in the desirable old English Pattern with Hanoverian pattern finial. Has a highly polished silver finish to its entirety and has a beautiful aged looks to its finish. Hallmarks to the reverse which are just legible, has been initialled but very worn obviously commissioned by a wealthy Georgian family of the time . Becoming harder to find period antique spoons for the George II era. A truly wonderful and very collectable period tablespoon. For the collector or investor of fine Georgian tableware. Hallmarks for London Period: George II Maker: worn Hallmarks: Makers Mark worn Date Letter h 1743 Lion .925 Sterling Silver Finest, leopard London just legible.
