This is for a gorgeous antique Bobeche. Made in Sheffield England During the George the III period Circa 1799-1820. Manufactured by John Green & Co. Most makers of Candlesticks but some other Holloware items and flatware as well. This is for a single Boboche made by John Green & Co.. An authentic late 18th Century Early 19th century piece. A candle wax catcher insert. Mounts in the candle holder andis removable to clean. This one made of .925 sterling silver purity. It is hallmarked with the John Green initial mark as well as the Lion purity mark and the Duty Mark for the time period. It has a beautiful rope banded or reeded edge border. With a hand engraved Knights arm & hand holding a single flower in it. Engraved on the top inside. It measures approx. 2-5/8" in diameter by 1-1/2" total height with a socket size of approx 7/8" at the tip and slightly gets wider near the top. Weighs 45 grams according to my scale.
