Offered are George Washington Maher [ (1864 –1926) amajor figure with the Prairie School -style of architecture , during the first-half of the 20th century] related Items: #1) Folder titled Blinn House – handwritten notes concerning Maher’s drawing of the Blinn House & transparency, and related photocopies of – pages 12-16, Geo. W Maher Quarterly , 1995, 6 pages from newspapers + 2 typed sheets from Star News ; #2) Folder with photocopy of the 40 page The Claude Seymour House + 2 photographs of standing light fixtures (each has a duplicate); #3) Four issues of Geo. W. Maher Quarterly , Donald M. Aucutt, Editor & Publisher. The periodical chronicles the work and life of George W. Maher - until the Quarterly was published little was known of Maher's work and information was not readily available. The successor to Geo. W. Maher Quarterly is Prairie- Popular and Progressive American and World Architecture 1880 – 1940 , a quarterly publication. The offered issues are January-March, April-June, July-September and October-December, 1996.
