Very unique chair, designed and signed by George Nakashima.
Being offered for bids is a wonderful chair, originally produced in the line "New Chair" from the mind and craftsmanship of master furniture designer George Nakashima. This chair is in very good condition, and has been taken care of. It has been signed "George Nakashima" on the bottom side with branding and is numbered. It is constructed of what I believe is walnut with hickory spindles for the backrest. Their is some scratching and minimal wear to the seat area, but it is only noticeable upon close inspection and does not detract from the fluid and unique style for which Nakashima is famous. The desk shown in the fotos is not included in this auction, but is being offered in another auction running concurrently. Please check the other auction as well, as these pieces simply go well together. However, the only item being offered in this auction is the chair itself. . This item is available for pickup only in the Atlanta metropolitan area, or if you wish, you can make arrangements for shipping from my location to yours. Pickup can be made by the carrier of your choice at its present location, or I can deliver it to their freight terminal for an agreed upon fee after the auction, provided it is within a 25 mile radius of zip 30064. All shipping or transportation costs (if chosen in lieu of local pickup) are the sole responsibility of the winning bidder. The dimensions of the piece are19"Wide X 20"Deep X 36"High, and it weighs between 10-20 pounds for shipping calculations. Payment is to be made within 5 days of auctions end. All non-paying bidders will be reported to Ebay. I do not accept personal checks, but will accept paypal, certified checks or postal money orders. The latter two will be required to clear completely and without problem before the item is released for delivery or pickup. If you have any further questions, please contact me before you bid as I want you to be totally and completely satisfied should you be the winning bidder.
