You are viewing a Vintage #5088 Daybed by George Nelson for Herman Miller, circa 1955. The design features the original (most likely Alexander Girard) fabric and cushions (which are sun-faded and one bolster has a tear...see photo), birch frame, metal coil seat support, hairpin legs, the original birch bolster support and the original Herman Miller/George Nelson metal label on the underside. See detail photos. The fabric cover (over the coils on the frame) is discolored, t is a slight separation of the birch frame in the front right corner (see photos), otherwise in good condition.
