This is a sofa to brighten a room, to be happy and relax on. You look at its 18 10-inch "marshmallow" cushions and you can't help but smile. It's been that way since it began turning heads in 1956, when the Nelson Marshmallow sofa was described in our catalog this way: "Despite its astonishing appearance, this piece is very comfortable." The Nelson marshmallow sofa is comprised of 18 individual fabric cushions on a black metal frame. Pads can be rearranged to suit a different look. I estimate it to weigh about 100 lbs. In good condition other than some light rust on the chrome feet and some fraying issues with some of the cushions (which could easily be re-upholstered and can be seen in the pics). I bought this in San Francisco in 2003 at a vintage store. I don't know what period it dates to but judging from its condition unless it was kept very well, it does not likely date all the way back to the 1950's. Available for pickup in Dallas, TX in the M Streets area near 75 and Knox/Henderson.
