I purchased this unit from the original owner who had this in his bedroom since a kid in the early 70s.The poles are architectural bronze and were a more expensive finish. All original brackets,screws support poles and spring assembly for mounting to a 8 ft. ceiling. Over the years it has been well maintained. I have added new black shelving @ 36in. to fit standard danish modern cabinet, that I also added, but works well together. As I have shown in pics this is a very universal unit that can do many different configurations. Very low starting price, what I paid years ago, this was very expensive back in its day and was the designed earlier than CSS and had conflict in Herman Miller Co. to produce them a wall unit, that was also manufactured in michigan also. This might be a alternative for your small cramped NY apt.or great in a loft as a room divider. Does not have to be up against a wall .This can work in a coved ceiling application. Great addition your OMNI SYSTEM or modern decor 2 8ft. poles 5 shelves 10 matching bronze annodized brackets that match poles and 1 cabinet [not omni] Maybe Cado system.
